No cause for alarm: Geveko Markings UK will be up and running 24 hours after warehouse fire

|   News

STALBRIDGE, UK: A fire outbreak Monday morning at Geveko Markings UK caused extensive damages to one of the warehouses, but production will be taken up again Tuesday with most of the company’s products still being fully available.

Luckily no one was injured in Monday morning’s fire at Geveko Markings UK. The local Fire Service arrived at 04.40 to the burning warehouse, and they managed to first contain and subsequently put out the fire without damage to any other buildings, office or production equipment on-site. We would like to thank them for their extreme bravery and saving the majority of the site. Due to the limited damages, production is therefore expected to continue again as soon as Tuesday.

The fire has caused extensive damage to the warehouse building and affected Geveko Markings UK stock of finished goods. But according to Head of Sales at Geveko Markings UK, Martin Emery, customers will not have to worry as most products will still be available: “Inevitably, it will take us a few days to rebuild stock of resin and we are executing our contingency plan with regard to aggregates and liquid paints. However, our resin and thermoplastic production plants have not been damaged and we still have good stocks of thermoplastic.”

He continues: We kindly ask our customers to bear with us while we manage the situation – we are doing our level best to ensure that they are not significantly impacted.”
