Showing the no-smoking policy
Länsstyrelsen in Blekinge is fighting smoking with PREMARK® road marking signs outside secondary schools and high schools.
This summer, the high school Väggaskolan in Karlshamn in the Swedish region Blekinge decided to mark a complete ban of smoking at the school premise.
Outside the entrances of the high school, no-smoking PREMARK® road marking signs were applied to show the no-smoking policy to the students, teachers and other people entering the school.
Jenny Andersson from the city of Karlshamn showed the no-smoking markings to Länsstyrelsen (Regional Government) of Blekinge, and suggested them to implement at other schools in the region.
Now, Länsstyrelsen has decided to offer all secondary schools and high schools in Blekinge two no-smoking markings to mark the no-smoking policy of the region.
