4 combined pedestrian crossings and braking zones in the cold plastic material PlastiRoute® RollGrip®

In Figueira da Foz, Portugal, Habidom has applied 4 combined pedestrian crossings and braking zones in the cold plastic material PlastiRoute® RollGrip®. The 4 pedestrian crossings and braking zones each had a size of 20 x 6,40 meters.

The PlastiRoute® RollGrip® cold plastic material is easy to apply - all you need is a roller to spread the cold plastic; tape to mark up the area and a mixer to mix the two components in the material. These pedestrian crossings and braking zone were applied at around 20° C making the curing shorter, and the traffic could roll over around 30 minutes after application. With PlastiRoute® RollGrip® there is no need to post sprinkle aggregates to gain skid resistance. The aggregates are already in the material increasing the skid resistance and reaching SRT values up to 80. The high SRT values make the markings non-slippery both for pedestrians, but also reduce the braking distance for the cars in the braking zone.

Contact Geveko Markings if you need skid resistant markings for pedestrian crossings, braking zones, bicycle lanes, parking areas or other area markings.
